Waiting Staff

We are always looking to strengthen our team at Blackfriars, Dobson & Parnell and Hinnies with passionate individuals who care about exceptional food and service.

Whilst relevant experience is undoubtedly essential for these positions, we are looking for candidates with the intelligence, intuition and motivation to excel in these roles who are constantly wanting to better themselves and over deliver.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The main purpose of this role will be to take orders and carry food and drink to the guest’s table
  • You are responsible for effectively and efficiently completing every task required, including setting up the restaurant, running a section if required, cleaning and closing down.
  • You may be required to serve drinks behind the bar and serve wine at a guests table

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • The successful candidates will have at least one year’s relevant experience, a friendly personality, excellent customer care skills and good attention to detail.
  • You must have great organisation skills
  • The ability to work well under pressure
  • Good knowledge of food and wine is also essential to these roles.

BLACKFRIARS

Blackfriars Dominican Friary dates back to 1239. The restaurant, located in the centre of Newcastle, occupies the former refectory and as such is the oldest dining room in Britain. It serves traditional historic dishes made from fresh, local and seasonal produce and has won several awards including Taste of the North East. Service is relaxed, informal and friendly yet professional with consistent attention to detail and also represents excellent value for money.

DOBSON & PARNELL

Dobson & Parnell is a bustling, smart, reliable, grown-up casual fine-dine restaurant on Newcastle’s vibrant quayside. Specialising in perfectly-executed, refined British and European cuisine, utilising preserving techniques and using ethically-sourced local, sustainable and seasonal produce. The restaurant has won several awards and is listed in the Michelin Guide.

HINNIES

Located on the seafront in Whitley Bay, Hinnies is a relaxed, warm and friendly neighbourhood restaurant serving comfort food we all like to eat – i.e., rustic and hearty Geordie-influenced classics made properly from scratch using local and seasonal produce to give a real taste of our beloved North East.
